Adventura ~ C102
The concept of the Adventura folder came from Romanian Technical Manager Alexandru Diaconescu. In keeping with his methodological background, the folder is techie, futuristic and fastidiously engineered to combine function with a cool factor. The PlainEdge VG-10 blade is hollow-ground with an unsharpened swedge-grind. ... MSRP $135.95

Assist I FRN ~ C79BK
Spyderco named this knife after its principal job function, to Assist. The Assist was designed for emergency/fire/rescue professionals (and for the well-equipped civilian) who rely on their knives to function flawlessly under pressure. Even with twenty-five years experience in making rescue knives, Spyderco is still offering new high-tech features and the Assist model showcases the latest and greatest in this knife genre. ... MSRP $107.95

Atlantic Salt Black FRN ~ C89BK
It's been speculated the sheepfoot shaped blade originated with mariners who found the rounded tip especially beneficial when the knife was accidentally dropped (think working on a ship in pitching seas) as it couldn't stab the foot when hitting the deck. It's also been hypothesized that commanding officers on these ships preferred rambunctious hardworking sailors carry knives without pointed tips, especially while in port blowing off steam after months at sea. ... MSRP $99.95 Will NOT Rust!

Bill Moran ~ FB01
Bill Moran is recognized as the grandfather of American custom knifemaking and the founding father of the American Bladesmith Society. byrdRench ~ BY15PS
As multitools go the byrdRench doesn't resemble any other pocket tool on the market. Unlike standard multitool fare it has a full-sized knife blade that opens/closes one handed and locks open like a real pocketknife. It also comes with a pocket clip and nylon sheath so if you're a hang-it-on-a-belt-loop person or a clip-in-my-pocket-person, you're covered. ... MSRP $99.95

Caly3 ~ C113G
The Calypso folder isn't just one of Spyderco's most popular folders, it inspired new Spyderco designs over the last ten years and converted many a knife buyer to the hard-use benefits of flat-ground, thick leaf-shaped blades. This is a workingman's (or woman's) folder and it's founded on the design philosophy that the most comfortable and usable pocketknife is one that feels like a natural extension of your hand. ... MSRP $154.95

Captain ~ C111G
All eyes were on knife designer Jason Breeden's knives at a recent knife show; drawn to his folder with a blade shape unlike anything knife enthusiasts had seen before. The lower half of the blade was curved like a Hawkbill blade but its bulb-like tip was perched on top the curved portion, almost like a head on a neck. When someone asked the designer he replied, ... MSRP $199.95

Cara Cara ~ BY03
Just as Spyderco is associated with a spider, byrd Knives resemble various species in the avian world. The Cara Cara is byrd line's newest offering, presenting a cost effective alternative to Spyderco's main CLIPIT-line of high-performance knives that stand independently on their own design, performance merits and high-level of manufacturing. ... MSRP $29.95

Cara Cara Black ~ BY03BK
With the addition of the black Cara Cara, there's now an all-black, non-reflective folder option to value attentive byrd line of knives. Designed for peak performance at a value price, the knife is coated with black electric plating. The plating eliminates the steel's reflective quality subduing the knife's flash and making it less noticeable. ... MSRP $35.95

Cara Cara FRN ~ BY03FRN
The knife industry loves acronyms and one frequently seen is the term FRN. It means 'fiberglass reinforced nylon' which is a plastic material used in manufacturing knife handles because it's lightweight, longwearing and not prohibitively expensive. One of the byrd line's cornerstone models, the Cara Cara is available for the first time with FRN handles. ... MSRP $26.95

Civilian G-10 ~ C12G
In the 1990s Spyderco was approached by a specialized branch of U.S. law enforcement about making a knife for their undercover agents. These plain-clothes LEOs found themselves in situations where they often could not carry a firearm but carrying a knife was not a problem. Most had no formal training in self-defense tactics or MBC but as a last resort could use a blade to protect or extricate themselves from a life-threatening situation. This was how the Civilian model came to be. ... MSRP $229.95

Co-Pilot ~ C09BK
Originally, the Co-Pilot sold steadily as an airline knife you could take with you onboard to your destination so you'd never be without a pocketknife or money clip. Times have changed, but the design endures. ... MSRP $94.95 Sprint Run! Limited Quantities Available!

Cricket Stainless Steel ~ C29
Thin is in. We've made our long-favored Cricket model even thinner by integrating the handle and lock. New York City Police Officer John D'Allara entered but never exited World Trade Center Building One on September 11, 2001. It presents the knife market a high-performance folder option with a premium VG-10 stainless steel blade and a hard-use rated lock system called the Ball Bearing LockTM. ... MSRP $109.95

Delica 4 Stainless Steel ~ C11
Introducing the new stainless Delica 4, it fills your palm with a handful of steel yet doesn't seem weighty or unwieldy. As part of Spyderco's CQIT (Constant Quality Improvement) philosophy the C11SS now offers improved ergonomics - added to the blade's spine is slip resistant jimping. ... MSRP $83.95

Delica 4 Wave ~ C11PGYW
If knives could be created in the same way we choose players for fantasy football league teams, every hardcore knife knut would recruit features and characteristics they like best from different knife companies and combine them into their favorite knife. Waved models combine all that's functional and performance-based in a Spyderco folder with the Wave Blade-Opening feature made popular and patented by Ernest Emerson of Emerson Knives. ... Dragonfly FRN ~ C28BK
Many of us buy small gentlemen's knives assuming we'll use them for undemanding cutting chores. While that is normally the case, the Dragonfly's diminutive size belies its cutting capabilities. When need be, it will cut and perform like a much larger folder because Spyderco's R&D team focused on creating a small but ergonomically superior package out of high-performance materials. ... MSRP $53.95

Dragonfly Stainless Steel ~ C28

Kris by Ed Schempp ~ C104
If you consider it, every civilization both ancient and modern has historically developed its own variety of cutlery that is representative of its culture, ethnicity and cutting requirements at the time. Spyderco unveiled its first ethnic inspired knife with a Shabaria folder, reminiscent of classic Middle Eastern cutlery. Next up, a Japanese Tanto then a Chinese Folder. It holds equally true that generic outdoor knives often find their way into the hands of the hunter field-dressing their success. Pacific Salt FRN ~ C91BK
A big myth in the knife world is that out there somewhere is a knife that seriously cuts but cannot rust. Knives claiming these super powers are usually made with steels that are unable to hold a cutting edge for any measurable amount of time. Finally a steel foundry in Japan called Myodo Foundry makes this myth a reality with the introduction of a new steel called H1. H1 steel is a PH steel, meaning it is a precipitation-hardened steel. "Huh" you ask? Utilizing .1% nitrogen instead of carbon to harden the steel, it reaches a Rockwell hardness of 57-58rc. Spyderco uses H1 on its new C91 Pacific Salt model. ... Para-Military Black Blade ~ C81GBK
When Spyderco introduced the Military Model years ago it gathered fans like the Pied Piper. Critics claimed it too big, too expensive and more knife than the average user needed. Likewise, fans heralded the knife's big performance attributes and snapped them up, firmly positioning the Military Model as one of Spyderco's top all-time sellers. Carrying a large folder for many is simply a non-issue. For others in our sensitive PC world, smaller equates to friendlier, less shocking, and in some place just plain legal. We arrive back at the question knifemakers ask everyday "How do we satisfy both worlds and make a smaller knife that acts, cuts and performs like a large knife?" ... MSRP $199.95

Para-Military G-10 ~ C81G
The most awaited mid-sized survival knife of 2004. When Spyderco initially introduced our Military Model critics claimed it too large and more knife than the average user needed. Our answer was the Para Military. ... MSRP $189.95

Rescue 79 mm Black FRN ~ C45BK
Reasons we offer smaller knives are numerous but essentially people's hands come in different sizes and we occasionally find ourselves in social situations that dictate use of a smaller blade. Many think smaller versions of the same model are simply shrunk down. Not so. For every design to reach its utmost level of ergonomic comfort and maximum performance we often take features and engineer/rework them into a more diminutive pattern. An example is our 79mm version of the Rescue Model. ... MSRP $77.95

Salt I FRN ~ C88BK
A myth in the knife world is that, out there somewhere exists steel with high-performance cutting abilities that cannot rust. A Japanese steel foundry recently turned this myth into reality with the introduction of a steel they call H1. H1 is a PH steel meaning it is a precipitation-processed alloy, that's rolled hard without heat-treating and has .1% nitrogen which acts like carbon in the steel matrix, but does not react to chlorine making rust. Surprisingly, it holds a sharpened cutting edge comparable to the premium knife steels being used in the industry by most knife manufacturers. ... MSRP $85.95 Will NOT Rust!

Scorpius Stainless Steel ~ C87
The Scorpius was designed under the premise: form follows function- not looks, which offers explanation for its distinctive appearance. Spyderco's Eric Glesser blueprinted it as an urban tactical utility knife. For city carry he felt it had to be ergonomically refined and sized so it wouldn't generate adverse reaction or legal issues when taken out and used in public. He also felt the knife should be uncommonly comfortable in the hand and effectively cut anything put to it. ... MSRP $99.95

Spin ~ C86
The Spin may be the runt in Spyderco's Little Big Knife line of folders but scores points by combining compact size and workhorse attitude. Eric Glesser of Spyderco's engineering department created the Spin to be the smallest possible folder with the largest possible cutting performance and it had to be stylish. Its 1-13/16' (46mm) blade is high-carbon VG-10 stainless steel with a Wharncliffe profile. ... MSRP $79.95

The Tasman Salt folder features a Hawkbill blade. This distinctive curved cutting tool has a claw-like tip that originated in the marine/commercial fishing industry. Spyderco's new rustproof Hawkbill blade is made with state of the art non-rusting H-1 steel. ... MSRP $91.95 Will Not Rust!

UK Penknife ~ C94GP
The knife may be man's oldest tool but today it is governed by different carry restrictions in nearly every country in the world. It seems: 'if man makes it, he must legislate it'. This is particularly true regarding pocketknives in the United Kingdom where legal guidelines govern the size and function of all pocketknives carried in public. ... MSRP $139.95

The Yojimbo is Spyderco's second collaboration with famed martial artist and Master MBC Instructor Michael Janich. Our first was the fixed-blade called the Ronin. Since Mr. Janich's area of expertise is MBC and Filipino martial arts, the folder was designed around that art form. ... MSRP $179.95

The Deacon
.... the date code is a two letter code on the box label. The first letter A - L represents the month, second letter the year. So, for example, a knife made in Jan 05 would be coded AE.

A _ январь
B _ февраль
C _ март
D _ апрель
E _ май
F _ июнь
G _ июль
H _ август
I _ сентябрь

2001 _ A
2002 _ B
2003 _ C
2004 _ D
2005 _ E
2006 _ F
2007 _ G
2008 _ H

BigMonster

BigMonster
