Okay, let's see....hummm.
1. A drll-rig capable of punching through several thousand feet.
2. A salt-mine around 1,500 feet below where you plan on drilling.
3. Said mine started up almost 75 years prior to, so most likely the available maps of it aren't 100% accurate.
4. Above this salt-mine is a lake.
5. Lakes contain water, which disolves salt.
Yep....perfect place to drill a test hole.
But this WAS Louisiana...so........
