RIFLE
Jacket and Trousers
Proposals were put forward to make the shooting clothing thinner (1.5 mm in the body of the jacket and trousers) but with major emphasis on being less stiff. To this end the back panels of the shooting jacket are to be of only three pieces joined in the vertical direction to avoid the seams being used to stiffen the back of the jacket. The front to be of one piece each side. The reinforcements on the arms, in the shoulder area and the use of the device to prevent the sling slipping would remain the same, however there would be no shoulder straps nor pocket.
The same thickness would apply to the trousers with a waistband not more than 50 mm wide to accommodate a belt, if worn, of not more than 40 mm wide and 1.5 mm thick and which must not overlap more than 100 mm. The reinforcements on the knees and seat would remain the same.
An alternative would be to leave the shooting jackets as it is at the moment but not to allow any increased stiffness by means of seams or 'decorations' and to prohibit the use of special shooting trousers altogether for the standing position. In the standing position only normal training clothing trousers (track suites) will be permitted.
Testing to determine stiffness measurements will be undertaken, as well as that for seam thickness and stiffness.

Shoes
Shooting shoes will be similar to those currently used by pistol shooters and no part of the shoe must be higher than the top of the ankle bone and no part of the ankle bone must be covered.

10m Range
The lighting conditions for indoor Finals ranges beyond 10 m was discussed and would be investigated.

Shooting hats or caps
A modification to that announced last year was proposed after comments from shooters. Side "blinders" attached to the hat or cap would not be permitted, however side pieces attached to the shooting glasses, or to a head band, which do not exceed 40 mm deep would be permitted. These side pieces must not extend further forward than to a line from the centre of the forehead.
The piece to cover the non-aiming eye, if used, would be enlarged to 30 mm wide as the previous size was considered too small, particularly for pistol shooters. A "blinder" may no longer be attached to the rifle or rear sight.
The same general idea would apply to the other disciplines where appropriate
