ENFIELD-ERA 1914 ENFIELD .303 caliber 'SUB-CALIBER DEVICE', this is a very unusual looking 37mm cannon practice device built using a 1914 ERA barreled action, device has painted markings 'O.B.R./2-49', the barreled action is permanently inserted into a 37mm cannon shell dated 1942 & Broad Arrow marked, no buttstock, there s a bracket in the middle-for mounting the device to the cannon, there is also some type of pivoting firing lever on the rear of the receiver, very dirty and needs cleaning, a similar device is pictures on page 174 of 'THE U.S.ENFIELD' rifle book by Skennerton, s/n 3670x
