A friend has shot a lot of 1911 45 over his 70+ years. Has several pistols with over 100,000 rounds through each....blah-blah-blah...

On a side note, nearly all his ammo has been loaded by his wife on a single RCBS Rockchucker with the powder weighed on a RCBS beam scale. She switches the three dies around on the single press doing hundreds of cases through a single step each night.

Says a year or so ago he bought her a Dillon 550 for Christmas and she said it was the greatest present a husband ever gave a wife. She cried when she saw how it worked. Think he is going to get her a double-cavity bullet mold next year.

She says the toughest year was when he played all year with both a 38 Super and a 45 ACP.

Switching the dies out more frequently to keep ammo loaded for both calibers... And never messing up the two different powder charges...

She is happy he only plays with 44 Magnum revolver and with rifle calibers during the Fall.
