11-Year-Old Fends Off Mom's Attacker With BB Gun
The attacker, Paul Newman, received three or four BB gun shots to the face, but was treated for non-life threatening injuries.The incident began when Newman, who was renting a room in the home of Sturgen and his mother, allegedly arrived home intoxicated around 7 a.m., according to the Bellingham Police Department.
Newman apparently became angry because his room was messy and kicked in the door to Sturgen's mother's room and tried to strangle her.
